Content: Visitors of all ages go into the River Our with rubber boots and catch various aquatic animals such as small crabs, insect larvae and much more, which are then observed under stereo microscopes or in beaker magnifiers in the teaching room of the Water Experience Centre.

You will learn about the aquatic animal world and can ask lots of questions. Duration approx. 2 hours.

Why are our mussels becoming increasingly rare? And what is the Fondation Hëllef fir d'Natur of natur&ëmwelt doing to protect them?
Visit the mussel breeding centre with a group and learn about the complicated breeding of freshwater mussels. Get to know the host fish of our mussels, how mussel larvae develop into small mussels of less than one millimetre and how mussels are fed until they can be released into their home waters at a size of approx. 1-2 centimetres.

Come with a group to Kalborner Mühle and learn at various stations (such as bee hotel, flower meadow, nesting boxes, etc.) what you can change in your garden so that it provides habitat and food for many different animals.

The course takes place outside, please wear sturdy shoes and suitable clothing. Duration approx. 1.5-2 hours.
